La Japonaise No. 1
After an investigation into the 19th century fascination of Japonisme, designer Mario Gagliardi turned his research into an aesthetic concept characterized by a circular shape divided into colored segments with various floral details. La Japonaise No. 1 is handcrafted in a mix of New Zealand Wool and Viscose for an intriguing luster and comes in shades of turquoise, gold, crimson and light reddish tones.
La Japonaise No. 2
La Japonaise No. 2 follows Mario Gagliardi's aesthetic concept for the Storie Del Giappone collection characterized by a circular shape divided into colored segments with various floral details. This rug is handcrafted in a mix of New Zealand Wool and Viscose by De Caldes master artisans and comes in shades of royal red, purple, deep blue, gold and tangerine.
La Japonaise No. 3
La Japonaise No. 3, like its sisters No. 1, No. 2 and No. 5, is characterized by a circular shape divided into colored segments with various floral details. This rug is handcrafted in a mix of New Zealand Wool and Viscose by De Caldes master artisans. It comes in shades of gold, pink, crimson, beige and tangerine.
La Japonaise No. 4
To pay hommage to Japonisme as an aesthetic fascination of the late 19th century, this design is inspired by an Art Nouveau pattern, enhanced by Japanese floral motifs. It comes in two variations, one in tangerine, salmon, gold and pale blue, and the other in yellow, coffee and black tones. Both are handcrafted in New Zealand Wool with a hint of Viscose for a beautiful luster by De Caldes master artisans.

Onde No. 1
Onde No. 1 is an extraordinary piece of craft showcasing the skills of the De Caldes artisans. The waves of Onde No. 1 are finely hand-carved from 100% New Zealand wool. It comes in a white version highlighting the play of light and shadows, and in a version with larger waves in shades of red and tangerine.

Tofukuji
For this rug, designer Mario Gagliardi was inspired by the Suna patterns in the gardens of Tofuku - Ji temple in Kyoto. The pattern comes about by the play of light and shadow on its meticulously hand-sculpted pile. Handmade in 100% natural New Zealand Wool, 220 x 180 cm.
